NAM reject colonialism since the UN General Assembly

On behalf of the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, reaffirmed the unwavering support for the noble and heroic cause of the peoples subjected to foreign occupation or colonial domination, including the struggle of the Republic of Mauritius to conclude its decolonization process and to fully exercise its legitimate right to self-determination.

During the consideration of draft resolution A / 73 / L.84, entitled “Request for an Advisory Opinion to the International Court of Justice on the Legal Consequences of the Separation of the Chagos Archipelago of Mauritius in 1965”, the Non-Aligned countries reaffirmed his call to the United Kingdom to put an end to his administration of the Chagos Archipelago.
